Grußwort / Welcome note

Dear Colleagues,

We are extremely delighted to welcome you back to Potsdam, this time for the annual meeting of the German Society for Forensic Genetics (DGAB). The conference itself will take place in the historic Villa Bergmann, which not only captivates with its elegant charm and expansive garden but also offers a direct view over the Tiefen See and the Babelsberg Park.

The scientific program, which will take place on June 26th and 27th, 2025, will be preceded by workshops on June 25th, 2025, maintaining the proven and familiar conference format.

For the social evening this year, we warmly invite you to the stylish “Garage Du Pont,” where French lifestyle and enthusiasm for historic automobiles harmoniously meet.

We look forward to your visit to our idyllic city by the Havel Lakes and hope that you will have a wonderful time here. This, combined with a lively conference, interesting professional events, and particularly numerous informative and inspiring conversations.

We warmly welcome you to Potsdam, the city of palaces and gardens!

Knut Albrecht, Hartmut Fischer, and the team of the Brandenburg State Institute of Forensic Medicine (BLR)
